Increase Local SEO

INSTRUCTIONS

MAXeSites consist of over 25 on-page SEO factors to rank higher than a website for local target keywords in SERPs.  Follow the guidelines below.

STEP 1: SEO Tags

In the Settings tab, complete the following:

Include one or two keywords within the MAXeSite™ Title that summarizes your business
Use at least two keywords within the MAXeSite™ Description that summarizes your content
Add your business address and website link

TIP: For local businesses, add your city in the title tag

In the SEO Tags section, complete the following:

Copy the MAXeSite™ Title text, to the title field
Enter broad and long-tail keywords relevant to your MAXeSite™
Enter a 2-3 sentence description that best describes your MAXeSite™ content

TIP: For local businesses, add streets, intersections, zip codes, and city in the keywords and description tags

TIP: Google puts more weight on keywords found in the beginning of your title tag

TIP: Use Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) keywords that are commonly found alongside your target keyword searches

STEP 2: MAXeSite™ Fields

Add the following fields to your content, personalized employee marketing and customer service-marketing MAXeSites:

1A. Add Text (publicly visible)

This text content is visibly displayed within your MAXeSite™ for public view.

Add unique text and aim for at least 1000 words in content MAXeSites
Studies have shown that longer content ranks higher in Google
Studies have shown that longer content is 78% more likely to be shared

TIP: Create at least one target keyword anchor text in each paragraph

TIP: Add your prominent target keyword(s) within the first 100 words of your content

TIP: Add links to your target keywords directing to both external site(s) and to your website inner page(s)

1B. Add Text (NOT publicly visible, and OPTIONAL)

This text content is NOT visibly displayed within your MAXeSite™ for public view, but can be toggled on and therefore is still indexed by search engines to improve SEO.  This white hat method provides search engine bots with rich content without deceptive "hidden" methods of obscuring content (e.g. similar text and background colours), which will lower rankings or penalize your website.

Add unique text and aim for at least 750 words in content MAXeSites

TIP: Create at least one target keyword anchor text in each paragraph

TIP: Add your prominent target keyword(s) within the first 100 words of your content

TIP: Add text and set field visibility to Admin Only (not publicly visible)

2. Image

Add at least four images
Use your target keywords in the image title
Use your target keywords in the image file name

TIP: Adding your target keywords in the "alt tag" can improve search engine rankings

DEFINITION: An alt tag, also known as "alt attribute" and "alt description," is an HTML attribute applied to image tags to provide a text alternative for search engines. The alt attribute provides alternative information for an image if a user for some reason cannot view it (if the user uses a screen reader, or because of slow connection, or an error in the src attribute)

TIP: Add images and set field visibility to Admin Only (not publicly visible), similar to (1B. Add Text) above

3A. Image Gallery

Add an image gallery with at least three images, each with a short description
Use your target keywords in the title of your image gallery
Use your target keywords in each image file name

TIP: Add image galleries and set field visibility to Admin Only (not publicly visible), similar to (1B. Add Text) above

TIP: Use keywords provided in Google Images search within each image description

TIP: Adding popular keywords to each image description can drive more traffic from Google Images search

3B. Image Gallery (Local Advertisers)

MONETIZE MAXESITES - Contact local businesses and offer advertising within your MAXeSites for ad revenue, backlinks, and cross-promotions.  You control WHO advertises, HOW many, WHAT price, and keep 96% of revenue (4% PayPal fees).

Add an image gallery with three to nine images (advertisers), each with website URL
Request each advertiser to add your website URL, on their website

TIP: Offer 3 PLATINUM sponsor ads (top of MAXeSite) and 6-9 GOLD sponsor ads (mid-page), for $12-144/month per ad.

4. YouTube

Add a YouTube video
Use your target keywords in the title of your video
Use your target keywords in the video tags in YouTube

TIP: Add YouTube videos and set field visibility to Admin Only, similar to (1B. Add Text) above
